Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Canterbury, Moonee Valley, Kyneton, Ballina, Gundagai, Sunshine Coast  and Port Lincoln.

CANTERBURY: RACE 5 @ 8:00 PM

COMME BELLA FILLE (8) has been in the mix in both runs this time in and will strip fitter third-up from the spell. Goes well for Berry who has a win and a placing from three steers and is sure to get all the favours from the inside alley. Rates a top winning hope. FORMENTERA (3) has only missed the top four once in seven career outings and has placed at this circuit. Can play a key role in the finish. The consistent NARRATED (10) has only missed a drum once in ten outings and always runs an honest race. Has to be included. ZUDIN (6) got the job done over this course and distance last time out and looks one for the multiples.
SELECTIONS: Comme Bella Fille to win.

MOONEE VALLEY: RACE 6 @ 8:45 PM

CONFRONTATIONAL (2) had been threatening before delivering the big 64 win at Mornington. Spiked his figures and will be fitter again. Has the handy 2kg claim tonight and rates to win again. GALACTIC FURY (6) won the Benalla 64 by 5L and ran a decent race here after in stronger behind Wicklow Town. Reaches peak fitness with a small claim and is sure to go close. AKECHETA (3) has been busting to win and will appreciate the drop in class. Has the speed to cross and control the race and a 3kg claimer goes on. Hard to peg back around this circuit. DESERT DREAMER (4) is Galactic Fury's stablemate and has had one blip in a string on strong-rating efforts. Has a small claim and has to be considered.
SELECTIONS: Backing Confrontational to win.

KYNETON: RACE 7 @ 5:00 PM

I AM NEWS (2) was heavily-bet and belted the Maidens first-up. The money came again at Echuca and things didn't work out. A leading hoop takes over from the 2kg apprentice and fitter he can bounce. PAINT ME RED (1) was beaten a neck at Kilmore making a ratings spike and the 2kg claim is handy. He will run along from the low barrier and is a danger. ALMIGHTY WILL (4) has been struggling to recapture his best form but has been racing in stronger class. Gets some gear tweaks and keep safe. These rate well clear of the rest.
SELECTIONS: I Am News is a bet on a tricky card.

BALLINA: RACE 4 @ 2:34 PM

STORM ATTACK (6) is an on-pacer who has been threatening a win and will find this much easier than the latest at Eagle Farm. Draws to advantage with a handy 3kg claim and can win for the sharp yard. SWANSTON (1) is right up to this at best and will be better for the first-up run at the Gold Coast in stronger. The second-up record is sharp and expect quick improvement. BEAT THAT (3) was beaten 2L this grade at Grafton seeking the hat-trick. Uses the rail and can make the finish. SECRET CONQUEST (8) has been racing at better level and is going well enough to consider drawn to control the race.
SELECTIONS: Backing Storm Attack to win.

GUNDAGAI: RACE 2 @ 1:45 PM

KING GUTHO (1) returns with a Queanbeyan trial under his belt where he was safely held. Is 1/2 in the placings fresh and will appreciate the sting out of the ground, finishing in the frame in 2/3 attempts - one coming at Provincial grade. Has the wide gate to contest, but does get in well at the weights with the apprentice claiming 3kgs. Top pick. LONDON GAL (7) is yet to finish out of the placings this time in. Chased gamely into second at the latest, beaten just over a length. Drawn to get the gun run and the apprentice claims 1.5kgs. Winning chance. OLYMPIC TIME (3) led from pillar to post last time, scoring by 1.8L at Port Macquarie. Apprentice claims 2kgs and will be hoping the rain stays away. In the mix. ROMERO (2) relishes the soft conditions, boasting a 2/2 record in the placings - including a win. Not without hope.
SELECTIONS: Backing King Gutho.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 8 @ 9:10 PM

SHEBRINGZIT (1) was sent out as the dominating favourite here last start but could only manage to finish third of seven. She was badly tightened at the start in that last run and with better luck in the running should be coming home better than most. BIG ANDY (6 ) bolted in last start at Kilcoy when the favourite following a close-up third at Gold Coast and in his current form he won't be far away. HAWAIIAN GEM (5) is a good each-way chance following a last start fourth of 11 at Ipswich. Should race near the pace and with a good sit can surprise. OSTERMEIER (3) deserves a winning turn after finishing second at his last three starts with the latest a fast finishing run at Ipswich to just miss. Will be coming home strongly again.
SELECTIONS: Shebringzit hard to hold out.

PORT LINCOLN: RACE 8 @ 6:55 PM

FALLOW (1) was a winner here three starts back and has been runner-up his past two, the latest behind Strategy at Morphettville and looks hard to beat here. FOSSHIO (2) was a good winner over Artful Ambition last time out and should run well again. THE MASTER (4) has come back well finishing 2nd first-up behind Effortkat before beating Maiden Grace here last time. KIROSHIMA (7) was well backed when 4th behind Effortkat here last time and was a Roxby winner three starts back. FREE WILMA (5) was OK last tome and her previous form is good enough to figure here.
SELECTIONS: Fallow to bounce back to winning form.
