The last of the three Perth G1s is on Saturday with the Kingston Town Classic the big one.

It's been over a decade since the Railway/Kingston Town double has gone off but it looks almost a formality here with Western Empire.

But we can't bet there so to the other group race on the day and Comfort Me only has to reproduce that effort from the Railway to go mighty close.

Off two wins in far easier, he sat on the speed and fought on tenaciously to be only beaten by the classy winner. Consider while there was a four length margin between them, there was another gap to third.

Acknowledging that he is back in trip here, he has shown he's more than up to these with that run alone.

He's already been found in the market.

Taking a bit of a punt here for the value but Bam's On Fire showed a sign of a return to her form over East last outing.

She could well be settling back into her old home and riding her cold as they did in the Jungle Mist might just be the key.

Admittedly from the barrier here it will be hard to give up that position if she does leave well.

However this type of fillies and mares grade is more suitable than running into Western Empire and Elite Street was.

Was hoping she might get missed a bit with the winning form down the formguide.
