Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are held today at Sale, Moruya, Sunshine Coast, Port Lincoln, Geraldton, Hobart, Horsham, Taree and Alice Springs.

SALE: RACE 1 @ 1:00 PM

CERRIDWYN (10) found plenty of trouble on debut behind the impressive Media Empire when a well supported favourite. She did a few things wrong but still finished off strongly and will be better for that experience. She looks hard to beat. BRILLANT SAPPHIRE (9) ran evenly last start when first up but caught the eye when a second up fourth at this track last preparation. She appeals each way. ZOUWEST (8) wasn't far away on debut prior to spelling and warrants respect with natural improvement. SELECTIONS: Follow up on Cerridwyn.

MORUYA: RACE 4 @ 3:15 PM

OBLIQUE (9) is unlucky to still be a maiden with two runner-up finishes to start the preparation. Drawn to get a soft run from gate two and Freeman-Key has been in the irons for both those placings and sticks. Rates highly and is likely to be prominent. JAUHERA (11) resumes here but the form she showed when last in work was good enough to play a role in this. Respect while fresh. PRESSING ISSUE (13) defied expectations when a close-up fourth at Nowra on debut. Will take plenty from that experience and must be included. SELECTIONS: Oblique to win.

PORT LINCOLN: RACE 7 @ 4:35 PM

EFFORTKAT (1) resumes from a break and having won her last two starts which were both here has to be tough to beat again. Won last start as the favourite when coming from the middle of the field to score going away. Leave her out at your peril. SANBUCK (2) is third-up today from a spell and while finishing last at Gawler at his last run finds the right field to return to form. Will strip fitter and is a solid each-way chance. MAIDEN GRACE (7) was only beaten a head here last start when heavily backed after trying to lead all of the way. If she finds the front again today and then given her own rules in front will be hard to run-down. WAR CHEVAL (3) has had two placings from four runs this prep including a last start second of eight at Ceduna and on recent form has to be considered in all combination bets. SELECTIONS: Efffortkat to make it a hat-trick of wins.

GERALDTON: RACE 3 @ 2:30 PM

SO SWAY (1) has had two starts in WA and both efforts have been very good in stronger fields than this. He is drawn to get the perfect run early on and is the hardest to beat. ADMIRAL HUSSON (5) is a speedy local that is usually in front early but can find it hard to hold on. This season he has finished runner up at both his starts and will again give his backers a great sight. THE SINGING TIGER (2) stuck on well for his third placing when fresh up last start and would have improved a lot with that run under his belt. He has performed well in some better fields in the past and must be respected in this lineup. Each way. UNDER THE RADAR (3) was an easy winner two starts back and then followed that up with a fair effort in a much stronger grade last time out. She likes to race on the pace and shouldn't be far away. SELECTIONS: So Sway each way.

HORSHAM: RACE 5 @ 3:35 PM

ONEHUNDRED PERCENT (2) made ground when returning from a break at Bairnsdale. Fitter this time and the rise in trip is a plus. Won't be far away. BRAEKHUS (7) is resuming. Most recent efforts have been over more ground. Placed fresh previously and forward showing is expected. ROLL ME AWAY (6) won with authority when up on the speed at Penshurst. Looks nicely off here and despite the distance drop should make a bold bid. FI STYLE (4) was a little plain last time but previous couple of efforts had been solid. Worthy of consideration. SELECTIONS: Back Onehundred Percent to win.

TAREE: RACE 5 @ 3:40 PM

SHE'S INDEPENDENT (5) spiked the figures winning the 66 here this trip before being out-graded at Warwick Farm. This suits much better and the on-pacer can bounce back. FLYING MOJO (4) peaks and rates well. Has to come back 500m on a 13 days turnaround and the rail is against but he's too good to risk. MISTER SMARTEE (1) has been racing in Open grade and go on the decent effort two-back at Tamworth. Has the handy claim and can make the finish. VALLEY'S SISTER (7) is also going well enough to consider. SELECTIONS: With She's Independent.

ALICE SPRINGS: RACE 5 @ 4:25 PM

VALIANT LAD (4) was back on track just beaten in the 54. Keeps the top hoop and gets weight relief in this grade. Uses the rail and looks a strong chance. Stablemate MILITARY ROAD (3) has come back to racing much improved. Raced favourite this grade and the 3kg claimer goes on and brings him right into it. BEAU DAN (1) seeks the hat-trick and won't have to improve much to be a chance. MORPHLING (5) peaks and is in the mix. SELECTIONS: Backing Valiant Lad to win.
