Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Wagga, Geelong and Cairns.

WAGGA: RACE 6 @ 4:15 PM

Local PERFECT SUN (6) was a touch disappointing first-up but the form she showed when last in work was good enough to measure up in a race like this. Has placed twice here on her home surface and gets 1.5kg off from the low draw. Sure to go close. MAHOGANY GIRL (13) is facing the starter for the first time but looked good in a recent Albury trial and won't need to be a superstar to be competitive against this lot. Respect any moves in betting. DONENOTHING (9) put in a career-best performance in her first run for the new stable and gets the services of Penza from gate four. In the mix. WEE JUGGLER (8) has placed here and can earn some minor money. ANTHROPICA (1) best of the rest with the claim.
SELECTIONS: Perfect Sun to win.

GEELONG: RACE 8 @ 5:00 PM

KERMY (1) was slow off first-up at The Valley and did a good job beaten 2.5L. She's fast and today she can ride the speed from the low gate. The 3kg claim helps with the weight lift in lesser grade and fitter he should take beating. SURECAN (7) is in the premier barn and didn't have much luck first-up in a Sandown Hillside 70. She won her only second-up outing and is right up to this finding her best. ECO WARRIOR (2) resumes and will race over further. She has placed fresh and at this trip and Lane's booking suggests she's pleasing. The race-day betting should tell the story. DRONE STRIKE (6) raced favourite this grade the latest and had no luck. Improved her figures and is well in the mix with the handy claim.
SELECTIONS: Going with Kermy.

CAIRNS: RACE 4 @ 3:35 PM

DELUXE ROCKER (4) is getting better with each run this preparation and is still a lightly raced seven year old with just the 18 career starts. He loves racing here and doesn't mind a wet track. He is third up and ready to show his best. HIEMAL (3) likes to run along in front and will make full use of his 3kg claim. A repeat of his run two starts back makes him hard to beat in this. Include in all multiples. SOLOMON (5) doesn't win often but has racked up 12 placings and is usually thereabouts. If he can convert his non TAB form to here then from the draw he should be fighting out the finish. Include in wider combinations. HARD YAGA (2) has been racing well all season and handles all track conditions with a slight preference for the softer surfaces. He is capable of winning if the track deteriorates during the day. Watch closely.
SELECTIONS: Deluxe Rocker win bet.
