Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Geelong, Muswellbrook, Carnarvon, Mackay, Moruya and Muswellbrook.

GEELONG: RACE 6 @ 3:00 PM

Open race. Siding with BUTTER BLONDE (7) who should be at peak fitness now third up. She's been run down after making the pace at both runs this time in and likes wet tracks. Will cross and lead and take running down again. GWITHIAN BAY (3) is an import from New Zealand who looks talented and has upside. Respect her. MOREAN (2) was good late first up over 1000m at Mornington and looks better suited to the trip today. BRILLANT SAPPHIRE (6) Resuming after four-and-a-half months. Best form gives her an each-way hope while fresh.
SELECTIONS: Butter Blonde to win.

CARNARVON: RACE 6 @ 5:00 PM

REGAL CITY (1) couldn't have been more impressive last start scoring by 6 lengths and is now getting out over more ground. Should be prominent from the low draw and looks well placed to bring up the hat-trick. ART ADMIRER (8) was in the placings when a length back from the winner last start at this track and is down in weight this time. Expected to be in the finish. CAPE SOUNION (7) ran fourth at his latest appearance over 1400m at this track, clocking in 8 lengths from the winner as favourite. Better than that and should improve. PORT BEACH (13) ran below expectations last time out, finishing sixth and beaten 7 lengths at this track over 1400m. Another who can do much better.
SELECTIONS: Very keen on Regal City.

MACKAY: RACE 5 @ 2:47 PM

SUPER VOGUE (7) just missed bet 4-11 here and then she delivered the Maiden win also heavily-bet. She keeps the top hoop and will run along from the low barrier. She's promising and rates to go on with it. BETTER DAYS AHEAD (1) won the CL1 comfortably and then led again beaten a nose in stronger than this. Has the weight rise but is a danger. DIVINE WIT (3) wasn't far away here this level down a bit on the Townsville Maiden win prior. Wiggins sticking is a plus and she can fill a minor slot. GUMNUTS (4) draws to advantage and fitter won't be far away.
SELECTIONS: Backing Super Vogue.

MORUYA: RACE 8 @ 4:15 PM

JUST GO BANG (7) trialled well at Canberra before delivering an impressive Maiden win at the Sapphire Coast from a wide gate bet a 5-4F. Draws inside today and can go right on with it for the sharp barn. POETIC MISS (10) resumed improved beaten 2.3L at the provincials and that stacks right up. She will ride the speed and the second-up record is sharp. A winning chance. SUPER RIFF (9) resumed in good order here 10 days ago off a solid Canberra trial. He's placed 2/2 second-up and has plenty up the sleeve. The stable can spring a surprise. BRACEWELL (4) was well-bet and led and belted the Maidens here 10 days ago. Has the handy 2kg claim and the speedy gelding will take pegging back drawn to advantage. SELECTIONS: Backing Just Go Bang.

MUSWELLBROOK: RACE 5 @ 2:40 PM

VALORIA (11) looked very good on debut after travelling five wide on the turn before going under narrowly at Canterbury. This easier and will take plenty of holding out. ALL TOO SCOTTISH (7) went out hard at Wyong when resuming from a long break. Fitter now and can control the race from the good gate. POWERFUL PEG (14) looks a promising Rubick filly from the Chris Lees yard who's shown plenty of potential in her two trials. VENGEFUL (6) had to do too much when resuming and will appreciate the extra distance today. ATOMIC THEORY (1) makes his debut after two even trials.
SELECTIONS: Valoria to win.
