Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Cranbourne, Canberra, Wodonga and  Orange.

CRANBOURNE: RACE 1 @ 5:45 PM

BORS (4) will position forward from the rail and go on nose defeat this trip (two-back) at The Valley. Busting to win and this is his opportunity. PHERE THE EX (6) resumes and the mile and three-back placed in the Geelong Classic. Has the ability and Nolen's booking suggests he's ready to go. BOTCHED (9) missed 1L at Kilmore this distance and impressed after a slow start off a wide gate. Has an inside draw this evening and fitter will get every chance. AQUILA VOLARE (3) may need one more but wary of the barn.
SELECTIONS: Backing the race-fit Bors.

CANBERRA: RACE 6 @ 3:55 PM

COLOUR SERGEANT (3) resumed with a solid effort at Newcastle and this is easier. The former Irish galloper raced in Listed grade at Leopardstown prior and will enjoy the lift to the mile. Just needs to be on-song to take this out. SNEAKY ISLAND (13) peaks and go on the near-miss at Newcastle two starts back. Draws to advantage and races at peak fitness. JACK DUGGAN (4) is also fourth up and threatening. In a strong Sydney barn and Loy will give him every chance using the rail. AURORA FLORENTINA (7) is a stablemate to the top selection and will likely be better back to the mile. He can't be ruled out.
SELECTIONS: Backing Colour Sergeant if the money comes.

WODONGA: RACE 1 @ 1:30 PM

AUTISSIODORUM (1) gets the winkers applied again after a solid 1.5L defeat at Swan Hill last time out. Up in trip appears to suit and he looks the one to beat from the good draw. IRVING AGAIN (3) went forward last start and ran a huge race after sitting wide throughout, finishing just 1.8L off the winner. He reaches 2000m for the first time and can turn in another bold effort. COMETTI (2) is an interesting runner heading into this, rising sharply in trip after running on well on debut. He wasn't far away though and a repeat effort will see him in the finish. CERES MIST (5) drops in grade a touch and can feature with the rise in trip. MORE SATURDAYS (4) is best of the rest. SELECTIONS: Autissiodorum looks too good for this field.

ORANGE: RACE 5 @ 3:35 PM

ALMAHERO (8) found the line strongly to nab third last time at Canberra, making it two placings on end. Up in the weights but looks to have a slight edge on these from the low draw. Top pick. LOUBARD (12) put in a fiery on pace display first-up before emptying out late to finish fourth at Queanbeyan. Has enough toe to cross and lead them up from the wide draw. The one they all need to catch. VAQUERO (3) ran on steadily last time here to find the frame, beaten just over 2L. Is 2/3 third-up and the rise in trip looks to suit. Must include. MADISON POINT (6) won well two back and may not have run out 2000m last start. Back in trip suits and he can bounce back.
SELECTIONS: Backing Alamahero to win.
