Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Randwick, Caufield, Eagle Farm, Ascot and Oak BanK.

RANDWICK: RACE 6 @ 2:25 PM

BIG PARADE (3) looks very hard to beat off his impressive effort in the G1 Galaxy first-up, being beaten just 0.2L. His second-up record is great, as are his wet track and distance stats. He's should find the front and prove very hard to run down. KEMENTARI (1) has trialled very well since his trip to the Gold Coast in January and can run a big race while fresh. Rawiller sticks, he loves the wet and his best is brilliant. He can run a bold race. COUNT DE RUPEE (8) has probably been outclassed in his 2 runs back at G1 level, but his recent trial suggests he's ticking along just fine for a race like this. He's drawn the inside and can improve off his recent performances. GEM SONG (2) was a big winner first-up and can bounce off that effort. SIGNORE FOX (6) is known to hit a flat stop second-up but is not to be discounted in this field.
SELECTIONS: Big Parade will be very hard to run down.

CAULFIELD: RACE 5 @ 2:45 PM

NAJMATY (2) signed off last campaign with a trio of zeroes but there were excuses; from wet tracks to slow starts. She has trialled as though back in good order and her Caulfield form stands out. Won a listed race this time last year around the course before a big run fresh in the spring when she should have gone mighty close to winning with even luck. FLYING EVELYN (1) was just fair first up but that was a messy slow race down the straight. Given a month since then and think she can get back to something like her best which is competitive. LEMPICKA (5) won really well first up and solid just missing NO WAY EVER (8) at Sandown. That looks key form for this. DAZZLING LUCY (10) is another that can run well. Too good when winning fresh and should measure up in better now.
SELECTIONS: Backing Najmaty. Save Flying Evelyn.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 5 @ 1:58 PM

FESTIVAL PRINCE (11) has hit the line well and finished close up in both runs since a spell, missing by just a head when runner up to Bullfinch here last start. Gets a weight swing on that rival and the extra 100m suits. Won his only third up attempt so is ready to peak and win. BULLFINCH (2) came from well back on the corner to score last time. Up in the weights but is race fit now. Threat. GENERAL DUBAI (9) is racing well having placed in his two runs here since a poly track win. Can be involved again. ENTERPRISE PRINCE (4) missed narrowly fresh then drew wide and ran on last start. Contender from the inside stall. GUNTANTES (5) can show more third up.
SELECTIONS: Festival Prince to peak and win third up.

ASCOT: RACE 5 @ 2:34 PM

LIPSTICK FLICKERS (4) is always around the mark in this sort of race and she tried hard when a close third as favourite three weeks ago. Definite chance. SENTIMENTAL QUEEN (3) was back to her best when winning over a mile here last time. Will be in this for a long way. DOWNFORCE (7) and PLAYING MARIKA (2) are worth considering.
SELECTIONS: Trifecta 2,3,4,7.

OAKBANK: RACE 2 @ 12:37 PM

SILENT SOVEREIGN (1) has the best all around form having some excellent Spring runs. More than acceptable resuming, she isn't badly off at all. Very hard to beat in this. ECUMENICAL (3) might be needing more ground not less but obviously has the ability when right to contest the finish. WITCHFULTHINKING (4) will be going forward here and has decent form doing just that. BELLE PLAISIR (2) put in some lovely runs last year. She may need a run in this. HEARTY LASS (5) gets better into a campaign.
SELECTIONS: Silent Sovereign the bet.
