Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Ascot, Eagle Farm, Murray Bridge and Warrnambool.

ASCOT: RACE 4 @ 3:10 PM

BIRDIEAGLE (3) improved again just beaten this grade, track and trip. Draws for a soft run and the leading hoop replaces the apprentice. He's the one to beat. PATCHWORK (8) presents as the danger building on the near-miss this level at Geraldton bet 13-8F. Will be fitter again and has more up the sleeve. MONEY FOR OLD ROPE (4) resumes for the new barn off the rail and was last seen in Victoria winning a Hamilton Maiden at the mile. He has trialled well and this is winnable if he's presented on-song. PHENOMENAL ANOMALY (1) is in a top barn and showed enough first-up to consider.
SELECTIONS: Backing Birdieagle.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 4 @ 2:15 PM

BADGERS NUTS (2) is a New Zealand trained visitor who finished a bold runner up on debut at Hastings. He will have some richer targets in mind and wouldn't have been brought over here for a holiday. Hard to beat. MAJESTIC COLOUR (8) opened his career with a couple of solid efforts and was put away to mature after a brave and close up fifth late last year. He has had a recent quiet trial to help him prepare for this and with in form hoop James Orman in the irons, he will be given every chance off the inside gate. SOUNDS DIVINE (14) failed to fire as a short priced favourite last time out at the Gold Coast, but may have found that heavy track too testing. Her prior brace of second placings are a much better guide and she can make amends in this. Can win. NASSAU COUNTY (9) showed some promise during his first preparation and looked forward enough when finishing fourth at a recent trial. He might be looking for more ground already but nothing will be finishing as quickly. Include .
SELECTIONS: Badgers Nuts win bet.

MURRAY BRIDGE: RACE 9 @ 4:52 PM

TAVIKAT (7) runs along and presents off the deserved Maiden win. He has more up the sleeve and is best figure came here. Fitter and can take the next step. DISCO TILMORN (5) has won and just-missed his last two and races at peak fitness. Draws for a soft run and should go close. PENWORTHAM (4) responded to the gear changes placing at Gawler at better level. In the hot barn and is in the mix with average luck from the awkward gate. INSAAF (9) raced favourite first-up for the new yard and didn't get into it. Was off a long break and can make quick improvement for a sharp barn. Draws wide and needs a good ride.
SELECTIONS: With Tavikat in a good contest.

WARRNAMBOOL: RACE 8 @ 3:20 PM

A good Wangoom and one with a real western flavour. TRIPLE MISSILE (15) is a big talent and he comes across from Perth looking very dangerous. Blinkers are on and the pick if his form stacks right up. Further to that, there are strong signs that he has plenty more to offer. He is taken to get the better of fellow West Aussie SHOWMANSHIP (4) who is a winner of seven from eight, including his last six, but the most recent run was now some 608 days ago. That is the big query around him. CHASSIS (13) has run two strong races this time in and looks sure to be right around the mark. POLAND (6) wasn't far away at Caulfield and this looks a nice option for him.
SELECTIONS: Triple Missile has the talent to take care of these.
