Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for June 8.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Doomben, Belmont Park, Sale and Balaklava .
DOOMBEN: RACE 4 @ 2:18 PM
FETCH (4) comes here first up. She's won first up before and has won a trial by a big space leading in. Her latest effort before a spell was in listed company and she was hardly disgraced, beaten 6 lengths. Looks the one to beat. ZA HIDDEN DRAGON (1) is very consistent and should get a lovely run behind the speed so another placing is on the cards. I'M NOT SLEW (5) has been freshened up since finishing ninth over 1100m at Hawkesbury. She showed promise in her debut campaign and can improve sharply. SHAJEA (3) wasn't far away first up and will strip fitter.

BELMONT PARK: RACE 7 @ 4:12 PM
OLY'S CHOICE (3) looked the goods winning a trial here and then ran on-speed after a slow off beaten a half-length at Northam on debut. Has the rail again and the in-form CJP sticks in the saddle. Fitter and looks capable of taking the next step. HOLA MAREA (2) won the Maiden first-up at Northam as expected and then was beaten 1L here in stronger. Comes back 200m but has the handy 2kg claim and is a decent start to bounce with average luck from the sticky gate. CHOICE BID (5) runs along and has been busting to win. Keeps the top hoop and is sure to go close dropping in grade. CIVVY STREET (1) ran a peak winning here before the spell at better level. Draws low with a 3kg claim and is in the mix if presented on-song.
SELECTIONS: Sticking with Oly's Choice.
SALE: RACE 6 @ 3:20 PM
HE'S ON FORM (3) was good here two back when strong through the line and then stepped up to 2000m and ran another big race at Mornington. He draws one for this. Should settle within striking distance and the longer trip is a huge plus. Finds his race. TASUMA (7) also comes off the Mornington card on May 24 where he was able to knock off the 2000m maiden. Think He's On Form was the better run on that card but Tasuma could go on with it now that he has broken through. Think that pair hold the aces. ARTILLERY FORCE (4) has been freshened up and ARAGON (8) who comes with a little hope.
SELECTIONS: He's On Form gets his race.
BALAKLAVA: RACE 2 @ 1:20 PM
MONSEAGLE (12) looks well placed here first up. He ran fourth over 1050m at Morphettville in a much stronger race behind stakes winner Aitch Two Oh. Will find this easier and can win fresh. ANJOPIN (1) ran well first up at Murray Bridge, running second over 1200m. Will strip fitter and be hard to beat. CHICAGO STORM (2) comes here fresh. He wasn't far away before a spell and can run well first up. BUBBLE OVER (8) is also first up and ran okay on debut before a spell. She may have improved over the break.
SELECTIONS: Monseagle to win.
