Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for July 5.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Ballarat, Townsville and Grafton.
BALLARAT SYNTHETIC: RACE 7 @ 4:00 PM
SHOWMINDER (7) raced up on the speed last start but weakened out over the final stages to finish fifth over 1600m. Finds the right field today to return to form and rates as a leading chance. INTHELAPOFTHEGODS (4) resumes from a spell following a last start third, in a fresh-up state is a solid each-way show. THE PHILOSOPHISER (3) won here two back over 1200m and followed that victory up with a solid fourth over 1200m. With an extra 200m in distance today should be coming home better than most over the final stages. RONAY (5) races well at this track and in her current form should be adding to that record today. She finished a game second last start at Pakenham Synthetic after getting badly held-up in the run-home.

STARFILLY (7) has missed a whisker both runs back and raced favourite the latest in a touch stronger. Races handy and fitter rates the one they have to beat. ALWAYS SACRED (9) is a former Kiwi resuming for new barn. Hasn't won for a while but has run some good races and is a late betting watch. JUST A LOVE SONG (5) was spelled off a dominant win on the heavy and resumed with a solid run also at the non-tabs. Fitter and gets conditions to suit. COLLOMBATTI (3) just missed twice at Mackay before going to the paddock. They stack right up and he draws for the run of the race. Expect him to be ready to go.
