Major metropolitan meetings are today held at Rosehill, Flemington, Belmont Park, Eagle Farm, and Morphettville Parks.

ROSEHILL: RACE 9 @ 4:00 PM

Waller holds all of the aces in this affair. FRUMOS (13) leads the charge off two dominant wins to commence her career over this distance at Newcastle. More depth to this field but has been dispatching of her rivals in a way which suggests she'll remain unbeaten. SUR LA MER (4) has been given a let up after two Warwick Farm wins last month. Kept ticking over since then with a Randwick trial and holds each way appeal. IL AFFARE (2) resumed in encouraging fashion at Flemington. Only her second run in almost 18 months so would have derived good improvement from the outing.
SELECTIONS: Frumos for the win.

FLEMINGTON: RACE 4 @ 1:45 PM

A hit-and-run mission to Queensland for THROUGH IRISH EYES (3) only missed by a head. Had to settle for second in the Brisbane Cup but ran right up to his best form to date and it is form that marks him down as the one to beat here. MIMI'S AWARD (5) was first past the post in the Banjo Patterson Final before handing back the prize in the steward's room. She was back at the top of her game there and must have a great chance. HORRIFYING (6) was behind her there but was slightly better winning two back and was on the heels off Through Irish Eyes in the Ramsden at this course and distance. SWEET THOMAS (2) was just behind Through Irish Eyes in the Brisbane Cup before battling through the heavy on the not so sunny Sunshine Coast last time. He's reliable in the right races.
SELECTIONS: Through Irish Eyes looks to get his race.

BELMONT PARK: RACE 10 @ 5:00 PM

BRIGHT DIAMOND (3) won well when resuming and not disgraced last time out when doing some work. Close to peak now and well in with the claim down in class. Chance to bounce back. MOOD SWINGS (2) is an honest performer who usually performs well fresh. Will run an honest race once more and must be respected. EEYORE WAYZ (4) jumped sharply in trip last time and disappointed. Wide gate no help but entitled to another chance. PULI (5) and CREATOR (7) have some claims.
SELECTIONS: Bright Diamond to win. Trifecta 3-2,4,5,7/2,4,5,7.

EAGLE FARM: RACE 7 @ 2:52 PM

Keen on FLANDERSRAIN (10) at the prices. She resumed for a new stable in the G2 Dane Ripper Stakes and worked home well from a long way back to finish eighth. She's trialled well since, steps up to 1600m and finds a good track. This looks an ideal race for her. BOTTEGA (12) is the query. His best form likely wins this but he's first up for a new stable over 1600m. If he's forward enough he'll take beating. SEE MARIE (11) wasn't beaten all that far in the G3 Pam O'Neill Stakes last start and is another back in her right race. MORETHANNUMBERONE (6) didn't handle the heavy ground last start but was a strong winner prior and should improve sharply.
SELECTIONS: Flandersrain each-way looks a good bet.

MORPHETTVILLE PARKS: RACE 7 @ 3:22 PM

Potentially a good race. NICE FOR WHAT (6) will be at peak fitness here after a sound effort at Caulfield last time out behind the impressive Inundation. She wasn't far off the handy Squid Game there and a repeat of that effort should go close here. The danger is KEEP READING (2) who just missed the bob on resumption at Murray Bridge behind Sigh, who arguably should have won in Melbourne last week. He stays at 1000m but has been kept fresh for this and can go one better. HANABI (11) failed as a short priced favourite when resuming but is better than that and can improve rapidly. The in-form CALLA DREAM (3) next best.
SELECTIONS: Backing Nice For What & Keep Reading to win.
