Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held Pakenham Synthetic, Goulburn, Taree and Wangaratta.

PAKENHAM SYNTHETIC: RACE 8 @ 4:50 PM

NIGHT 'N' VEGAS (3) resumes after showing a stack of potential last time in. Started a short priced favourite when fourth over 1400m at Pakenham five months ago. Can sit just off them here with cover and explode late. Go close. DICKENSIAN (1) is nearing his peak now and wound up strongly to finish third over 1100m at Ballarat Synthetic on July 19. Will drift back again but should relish the extra trip here. RATHKEALE (11) is mixing form but go on run two back at Pakenham (S) when a tough third. That run rated well and stays in the mix. BIG FRIDAY (7) is another mixing form and likely to drift back from the inside gate. Will need luck in the run but not hopeless.
SELECTIONS: Night 'N' Vegas to win.

GOULBURN: RACE 7 @ 4:40 PM

FIRST GRANGE (3) led first-up at Canberra but just ran out of juice late, finishing 1L away in Heavy going. We know he handles the wet surface based on that effort, and he'll make his own luck up on the pace. He'll take plenty of catching. LOCKUP THE KITTENS (1) turned in two good efforts in his debut campaign, and trialled nicely in Canberra back in April. Draw is sticky but he won't be far away. BRINGONTHEBUBBLES (4) has shown some ability in readiness for her debut. Bears close watching. MONA VALE LISA (13) can't be discounted after a good effort on debut at this track in heavy going.
SELECTIONS: First Grange can see us out winners.

TAREE: RACE 3 @ 2:24 PM

COURAGEOUS QUEEN (6) won the Maiden here first-up and is much improved. Draws to advantage and keeps the 3kg claim. She finds a moderate line-up and fitter can take the next step. TESTA PRINCESS (10) resumed in good order and then was out-graded after. She's back after 7-days and gets in light with the 3kg claim. She's capable at best and can show more. LADY LUCILLA (4) runs along and will be close to peak fitness. Resumed a big Maiden winner and has raced in better grade the two starts since. She will push forward and can't be ruled out. MEMPHIS SQUAW (1) found one much to good here the latest but covered the others and is in the mix again.
SELECTIONS: Backing Courageous Queen to win.
