Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Randwick Kensington, Sandown Hillside, Doomben, Belmont Park and Balaklava.

RANDWICK KENSINGTON: RACE 6 @ 4:20 PM

AEECEE EXPRESS (4) returned from a lengthy spell last time out and wasn't disgraced running third at Warwick Farm. Goes well for Clark who has a win and two placings from just three steers and is one from one over this track and trip. Strips fitter now and should be in this for a long way. STROMBUS (10) is a model of consistency who has yet to miss the top five in seven career starts. Gets the services of McDonald to navigate from the sticky draw and rates a definite each-way hope. FASTCONI (5) has a win and three placings from five attempts at the trip and can earn some minor money. The well-related STORMY ROCK (2) best of the rest.
SELECTIONS: Aeecee Express to win.

SANDOWN-HILLSIDE: RACE 7 @ 3:55 PM

HANAADY (10) clearly on top here. She was a comfortable winner two back at Ballarat before a strong closing second at this track and distance last time out. This is no harder and a slightly firmer surface will only aid her cause. MARCOLT (9) is racing well without winning, running consecutive placings at his last two starts. Drops back to 1600m here and will get back but be charging home. AMICA (6) wasn't beaten all that far at Caulfield last start and finds a more suitable race here. Best figures should see her competitive. EUGENE'S FOREST (2) put in a much improved show last time and can win off that effort.
SELECTIONS: Hanaady to win.

DOOMBEN: RACE 4 @ 2:53 PM

FIELD WIRI (9) looks the horse to beat down in the weights after enduring a wide run to finish third at Eagle Farm last time out. She's been thereabouts all preparation and this looks her best chance of breaking through. NISHIKORI (5) was a strong 3.5 length winner at Sunshine Coast Poly last start. This is harder but he should measure up. TAIRUA (6) should appreciate getting on to firmer footing and rates a place chance here after battling on heavy tracks at her last two. NEED NEW FRIENDS (2) was just fair at her Queensland debut but her best form would go close if she can find it.
SELECTIONS: Field Wiri to win.

BALAKLAVA: RACE 4 @ 1:55 PM

At his second start I NEED A DRINK (3) was backed and beaten at Murray Bridge over 1800m and then went back and demolished the Maidens by nearly 7L leading over a middle distance. Keeps the premier hoop and the promising galloper can go right on with it. TRUMPSTA (1) has threatened his last two with the latest this track/distance. He's right up to this and the 3kg claim brings him right into it. PRINCE JOFRA (2) found his best form winning the 62 easily in town over a mile. Has his first run at this distance and can't be ruled out. AMMO LOCO (8) tries hard and may be next best.
SELECTIONS: Sticking with I Need A Drink.
