Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Gosford, Geelong, Cairns and Albany.

GOSFORD: RACE 7 @ 4:55 PM

STREET CANDI (6) placed twice in a row then tackled a Midway at Newcastle last start and found that beyond her. Back in her right grade today and her three wins and three placings from eight tries at the mile is compelling. Ashley Morgan is a key booking - he is yet to miss the frame in six rides on the mare. HOPE UNO (8) appreciated the drop in grade when she got home in a Class 3 over 1600m at the Sapphire Coast ten days ago. That was her first try at the trip which is encouraging going forward. Big chance with the light weight. BAK DA MAN (1) is back from an 18-week spell. Ran some nice races last prep in town so although he will improve off this outing he has the quality to play a big role. DRESDEN (4) led but compounded in the straight when fresh from a spell over 1400m at Kembla recently. Best form comes at this trip with Reece Jones aboard so he is a likely improver. PATRIKA MIST (3) was outclassed at Randwick last time but her figures stack up in this company.
SELECTIONS: Street Candi to bounce back and score.

GEELONG: RACE 2 @ 2:00 PM

EXPOSAY (1) resumes here but showed enough ability in his first preparation to warrant serious consideration in a race like this. McNeil jumps back on board and looks the one they all have to run down. ZIPPO (6) was so-so when facing the starter for the first time but has since been given time to mature. Can return in better order. SNAPPY TYCOON (5) has hit the top five in four of five career starts and is a must for the multiples. OLLY'S FORTUNE (8) next in line.
SELECTIONS: Exposay to break through.

CAIRNS: RACE 6 @ 3:40 PM

ARTIE'S LAD (5) lines up for the first time since September but races well fresh and has good records at the track and the trip. Progressive so expect a strong return. NEBARAZ (2) has been close to the placings in both runs since a spell, last time beaten 1.3 lengths when fourth over 950m at this track. Building in fitness so can feature in the finish. SNAP CHAT (3) is aided by the inside draw and deserves respect off a string of placings. SOUTHERN FRONT (4) is a former Victorian who is having his first run in this region for the Maria Potiris barn. Hasn't raced since finishing seventh at Pakenham Synthetic three-and-a-half months ago but is proven fresh and races well at this distance.
SELECTIONS: Artie's Lad for a winning return.

ALBANY: RACE 7 @ 5:37 PM

NOVATORIO (8) quickly found form winning the Maiden at Narrogin. It was a strong effort from the back and she draws lower today. Lightly-raced and is a chance to go on. MADAME PRO (7) was tracking well before finding the grade and trip a bit much at Bunbury. Good enough and is a hope. HEARTFORD HOUSE (4) was good winning the Maiden at York and then was plain as favourite at Narrogin after. Has weight relief and a handy gate and can't be ruled out. IMPOSING BROOK (2) resumed improved for the new barn. Gets in light with the 3kg claim and the longer sprint should suit.
SELECTIONS: Leaning to Novatorio.
