Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Hawkesbury, Nowra, Werribee, Traralgon, Yea, Sunshine Coast, Emerald, Murray Bridge and Bunbury.

HAWKESBURY: RACE 3 @ 2:50 PM

WYMARK (2) is back from a nine-month break and has been gelded. Raced three times in the maiden prep, with the highlight a 1.7 length third to subsequent Group 1 winner Militarize on debut at Canterbury. Has trialled twice recently so looks forward enough to open the account. HIT SONG (9) returned from a four-month lay-off with a moderate sixth over 900m at Newcastle last start. Big step up in trip today but it looks the right move. Can improve sharply. SEPARATIST (11) led for home but was overwhelmed near the line and missed the placings over 1400m at Gundagai recently. Very fit and should give a sight. GIGI FILLE (8) caught the eye first-up at Taree over this journey. Lightly raced mare who is back in better shape and can progress from that latest effort.
SELECTIONS: This looks perfect for Wymark.

NOWRA: RACE 4 @ 3:14 PM

DISCREET MISS (6) progressive mare who looks well placed today after holding on well to secure third over 1200m at Rosehill in Highway company last start. At her top now and looks too good for these. MRS ED (8) mixing form in similar company and is undefeated at this track. Taken to the front and overhauled late when fourth over 1000m at Kempsey on November 10. Best form puts her right in this. SANTORINI SUN (9) has a good record at this track and trip and was not far away at the latest when sixth over 1200m at Sapphire Coast on November 2. Likely to get back and run on late from the gate. SWEET BISCUIT (5) third-up today and back in grade when a most improved fourth over 1000m at Sapphire Coast on November 27. Raced in town prior and looks well placed here.
SELECTIONS: Discreet Miss to win.

WERRIBEE: RACE 7 @ 5:00 PM

Good clash in the Cup. Just with the map advantage, I give the edge to KEATS (4). He drifted late in betting and was no match for the stablemate at Caulfield, but was only second up there and should be cherry ripe now. Linda Meech hops on and should rate him perfectly, expect him to give a huge sight. ASCENSION (1) is the main danger. He was very good in the Cranbourne Cup, basically crossing the line with Just Folk, who beat Keats last time. If he can slot in just behind them he'll be hard to hold out late. JUNIPAL (2) beat Ascension in the Seymour Cup two back but was just fair at Caulfield with Keats ahead. Clearly there isn't much between the three. KAPTAIN KAOS (3) can get into the first four.
SELECTIONS: Keats to win.

TRARALGON: RACE 1 @ 1:10 PM

MAC KALHOUN (2) was narrowly beaten at this trip before the spell. Didn't have much luck resuming over a mile and is sure to be improved. Has the blinkers on first time and Stackhouse is reunited. The one to beat. PERDIZ (9) was on-pace beaten 1.5L at Tatura over this distance. She's in the mix. LONESTAR CHARLIE (1) just missed at Mornington but comes back 560m on a 9-day return. Will run it right out but will likely lack the zip to be winning. LADY SAN CHEZ (7) has been missing her form lately but rates highly and can break through on her best form.
SELECTIONS: Backing Mac Kalhoun.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 5 @ 3:15 PM

DEEP TEMPEST (2) was quickly back in the winner's circle leading and winning here this grade over 1400m. Draws for a soft run and the top hoop stays aboard. Fitter he can deliver again for the sharp local barn. TWICE ON SUNDAY (3) peaks and has been racing well without winning. This grade suits and she's well prepared for another crack at the mile. Races handy and will get her chance. CAPTAIN HOOK (1) seeks the hat-trick off comfortable wins and keeps improving. Runs along and has a handy 2kg claim. This is tougher but he has upside. WICKED'N' LOVIN'IT (9) hasn't been winning but her last two rate well enough to suggest she's some hope.
SELECTIONS: Sticking with Deep Tempest.

BUNBURY: RACE 1 @ 1:20 PM

Could be a one-act affair in the first as MASAMUNE (5) drops way back in class. Still a maiden, he's been competitive in Listed company and No Metro Win races at Ascot so far. Strikes the easiest race he's seen to date and should be getting the job done with the blinkers on first time. WAR TACTICS (2) turned in a good fresh effort when beaten only 1.5L at Narrogin. Looked to have improvement to come there and should get a better run from today's draw. Going well and should be in the money. BLAZEN STAR (3) just missed over 1100m here first-up behind a smart one. Sticky alley to contend with, but he's sure to threaten if he can run up to his latest effort. PREMIUM GIRL (12) ran on well first-up over this course and distance and now gets Chris Parnham on from an inside alley. Improvement is expected. SAMARAS JOY (10) did plenty wrong on debut but will benefit from the experience. Keep safe.
SELECTIONS: Backing Masamune.
