Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Gilgandra, Lismore, Mornington, Warrnambool, Sunshine Coast and Bunbury.

GILGANDRA: RACE 7 @ 5:00 PM

NOT TOO BAD (7) won nicely at Narromine with a big weight then sound up in grade at Bathurst. Drops 5kg here and drawn well. Looks hard to beat. TURGENEV (6) found form quickly to win second-up at Orange and will be even better up to this trip. Great record here and a big chance. NOTABADIDEA (3) won this race two years ago and is fitter for a couple of runs back. Look for an improved showing. MACCHINA VOLANTE (1) and ATHENA'S LAD (2) are worth including.
SELECTIONS: Not Too Bad to win. Trifecta 7-1,2,3,6/1,2,3,6.

LISMORE: RACE 5 @ 3:50 PM

MILTON ROAD (3) went to the front and gave nothing else a chance last start in a 1200m maiden at Murwillumbah. Starting to put things together so from a nice draw over the same trip he can go right on with the job. BRING ME TO LIFE (11) caught the eye first-up over a shorter trip at Coffs Harbour. Likely improver and a big chance following a few key scratchings. SNOW FALCON (4) bounced back to form last start when finishing third at this track. Rates well and has to be included.
SELECTIONS: Sticking with Milton Road.

MORNINGTON: RACE 3 @ 3:00 PM

HIGHLAND DREAM (2) peaks and is ready to win building on the heavily bet placing at Yarra Valley over this distance. Stackhouse goes on and can secure the run of the race from the low gate. Peaks and is sure to take beating. GALAN (1) has had plenty of chances but the form is good. Best to go on the unlucky placing here two back as a $2.5 and the visors come off. SHILONG (7) displayed fair ability in his maiden preparation and has prepped up well. Worth keeping safe with the aid of the claim.
SELECTIONS: Backing Highland Dream.

WARRNAMBOOL: RACE 1 @ 1:30 PM

The well-related HALVAR (2) (full to 2xG3 winner Halvorsen) didn't measure up in town last time out but will find this assignment a stack easier than that contest. On debut finished a close-up second at Ballarat and a repeat of that performance should see him going very close here. NAVY KING (3) wasn't disgraced on debut before being tipped out for time to furnish. Was thereabouts in a recent trial and can run a race while fresh. MY GAL VAL (5) resumes here but showed enough when last in work to warrant consideration in a race like this. Rates a top-three hope with the 3kg claim.
SELECTIONS: Halvar to break through.

BUNBURY: RACE 7 @ 4:55 PM

SNIPPY WHICH (5) has been in Open company at Ascot so far this campaign and now drops back to a Class 1 at Provincial level. Still has plenty of upside being just 5 starts into his career and he rates a leading chance off the latest effort. At his peak third-up and is the one to beat. DREAMERS NEVER DIE (3) just missed as favourite at Pinjarra last time out. Ticks plenty of boxes today though with Pike taking the ride and the Visors going on first time. Will most likely be back in the run and can be unleashing late in the piece. ZING TO WIN (8) is better than he's shown his past couple, finishing 2.7L off the winner last time out. Parnham is happy to stick with the gelding though, and if he returns to his best he'll be right in the finish. UNCLE GERARD (6) was good at Ascot fresh and strips fitter from that effort. Don't discount. OREGON HIKER (2) won't be far away after shedding the maiden tag last time out.
SELECTIONS: Snippy Which is the one to beat.
