Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at NewcastleGrafton and Stony Creek.

NEWCASTLE: RACE 4 @ 3:40 PM

OFF DA HIZZLE (4) at her peak now fifth-up and maps to get the right run from the inside gate. Taken back from the wide gate and never got into the race when ninth over 1400m at Kembla Grange on January 20. Has the ability to turn things around here. GRAND HORIZON (3) has a tidy record and had excuses second-up when had to work hard from the wide gate before tiring to finish ninth over 1250m at Tuncurry on January 29. Quick back-up and good gate suit. Has solid winning prospects. DOUBLE SCOOP (2) fourth-up today and finally draws a good barrier after disappointing this time in. Can hold a forward position and run a race at good odds. CORPSMAN (7) progressive filly resuming. Undefeated at this trip and expected to have furnished over the break. Likely to go forward and figure prominently.
SELECTIONS: Off Da Hizzle to win.

GRAFTON: RACE 2 @ 2:45 PM

COOL MACHINE (5) went close first-up over 1215m at Coffs Harbour then started favourite and looked a chance on the bend but couldn't quicken last start over this distance. Fitter and draws a better gate this time. Ready to win. OOJAH CAPOW (10) has been finding the line well in shorter races, most recently finishing just a length from the winner over 1300m at Coffs Harbour. Crying out for this trip and will be tough to hold out. PER CAPITA (1) is back from a nine-month lay-off and has transferred from Annabel Neasham to Stephen Lee. Form at the provincials last prep reads well. DAZZLING ROBERT (3) close to his top now and place prospects look best.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Cool Machine.

STONY CREEK: RACE 7 @ 4:30 PM

LONFIRE (6) was inexplicably plain last time (vet cleared) but narrowly missed three times prior also at the provincials. The middle distance is likely to suit this time around and the blinkers come off. Tipping he will settle back and hit the line hard. GRAND TOURAINE (8) came to this trip and improved again beaten 1.3L at Cranbourne. Draws well again and keep the handy 3kg claim. She won't have to improve much to go close. BING'S DREAM (5) deserved the Maiden win at Moe over a staying distance. Not sure where he will get to from the awkward gate but this isn't overly hard and we know he will run it right out. PICK ME (12) has switched yards on a 42-day return and drops back in grade and distance. His best efforts would see him competitive and he should be around the mark.
SELECTIONS: Backing Lonfire.
