The Belmont Sprint is an excellent race as part of the Winter Perth series for the top horses.

Surely, SURELY this is the race for Red Can Man after his excellent start to the campaign.

Twice he's run into Elite Street, twice he's been right there to win and twice he's just been nabbed late.

Now, he's out to what is probably the best trip for him and he doesn't have to run into Elite Street who is a G1 sprinter.

From the lovely draw, he can be right where he was in the Roma Cup. Remember in a G2 race in Melbourne he was on the pace and was not far away in a PB Lawrence Stakes.

His overall form deserves to be rewarded with a win in this sort of race.

It is hard to knock a horse who has only missed the placings twice in 13 attempts and Fashion Queen kicks back off in a winnable race with an enticing weight after the claim.

Admittedly she was contesting mostly mile races at the start of the year but she goes so well when early in her campaigns.

She will drift back so the awkward draw will be slightly negated there and most of the others in the market have similar barrier issues.

We'll be looking for her to get moving around the corner and be powering late.
