Say From SA: Murray Bridge – 19th June 2021

3 minute read

It looks like being a damper track in South Australia but there are a couple who will be so tough to hold out.

In Race 4, En Francais can bounce back from a nose defeat now up to the mile in the 3yo race.

She is bred (by Puissance De Lune) to want even more ground but showed on debut her capabilities with a big win over a sharp trip.

From the lovely draw she will be able to sit just off the speed and as is the case at Murray Bridge, all you need is clear running as swoopers often prevail.

Thinking we should get very close to black figures on the day.

The other one with a great chance off last effort is Pearl Bandit running in a similar race to last time.

This now 5yo was slowly coming to hand following a top outing at Flemington before he was back home and trotted in on the Parks circuit.

He sat back in the field that day and once clear ripped away by over four lengths. That shapes as the right pattern on this course.

You can expect Jason Holder to drop him out again and assuming Murray Bridge plays as it usually does, he'll be surging up the centre again.

Got the feeling he may start shorter on the day.
