Best From The West - December 5

3 minute read

Kingston Town Classic day at Ascot features some very good races, not just in the Group 1.

With the filly Arcadia Dream having been in a few dogfights already this time in, going for the ever improving Battle Torque as a speck in the Listed Aquanita Stakes.

He’s been going through the grades nicely and controlled his last start here coming away late.

Just reckon out to the 1800m he’d enjoy that and early in the card being on speed will be no hassle.

It’s not a strong black type race at all and while conceding the favourite deserves that billing, she shouldn’t be that short.

For another value tip let’s head to the G1 and have a go at Delicacy now that she finds a race where it is less likely to be as biased and more speed on.

Fascinatingly William Pike has decided to ride the filly Perfect Reflection instead of the top mare but mistakes can be made.

She was very brave in the Railway getting back to last. It was an impossible task to overcome the bias and the sectionals and she still charged into sixth.

Not a good barrier for her again in this but she can be put on the speed if desired and that is her best hope.

Think we will get even better odds on the day.
