Prioritise will appreciate the step up to his favourite distance in one of the day’s features, the Listed TAB Brisbane Handicap over 1600m.

The five-year-old was two months between runs when producing an eye-catching performance last start in the Listed Recognition Stakes over 1350m.

On that occasion he was slow into stride and raced three wide but kept chasing to the line well to be beaten only 1.8 lengths.

He will be improved with that run under the belt and will relish 1600m having won all three attempts at the trip.

Prior to the freshen up he was in red-hot form scoring four successive wins, two of them at this course with Saturday’s jockey Michael Murphy aboard.

Prioritise is drawn to get a cushy run on the fence from gate one and can maintain the unbeaten record at the distance.

In-form mare Mishani Vaidra looks well placed to build on her strong record in the Canadian Club Origin Jockey Series over 2000m.

The four-year-old has recorded two wins and a second from her three runs this time in and impressed when running on and drawing clear to win at his course over 1640m last start.

She goes up to this distance for the first time but the way she has been hitting the line suggests she will see it out and jockey Jason Collett should find the right position from the inside gate.

Mishani Vaidra has put together a handy strike rate in winning five of her nine starts and she looks capable of taking another step forward on Saturday.
