It is shaping as an each way kind of day through nine races at Randwick on Saturday afternoon.
The first of them comes in Race 3, The Aviary @ Royal Randwick Benchmark 78 Sprint.
They don’t come much more consistent than Sikhing Glory who has placed in each of his three runs this prep, the latest over 1150m on the Kensington surface three weeks ago.
Form around the Joe Pride-trained sprinter this prep has held up well.
First up he ran third to Bon Amis who then came out and won at Rosehill.
The son of Sepoy ran second two back behind Heart Conquered who has since come out and won at both Warwick Farm and Randwick last Saturday.
Third placegetter on that occasion was Deprive who has since recorded two convincing successes and looks destined for stakes level.
Last start Sikhing Glory ran third behind Tell Me and All Too Royal.
Tell Me went on to place in the Gosford Guineas while All Too Royal won at Canterbury on January 4.
After striking two hot midweek races, Sikhing Glory finds what looks a lesser race on paper yet has a prizemoney purse 2.5 times bigger.
The gelding should be at his peak fourth run from a spell and gets a slight weight drop. Sting out of the ground won’t bother the reliable sprinter either having placed in each of his four runs on rain affected ground.
Rider Jay Ford has yet to finish out of the money aboard Sikhing Glory through eight starts in partnership.
Currently $8.50, lets hope the remaining eight runners in the 11 horse field are there come start time as Sikhing Glory ticks all of the right boxes for an each way play.
At double figures, So You Win is worth a look in the final event of the day, the Autumn Carnival On Sale Benchmark 78 Handicap (1800m).
The son of So You Think has been finding the line well in each of his two runs back from a spell, the latest when fifth in a 1600m Benchmark 88 behind the Les Bridge-trained Tip Top.
The four-year-old has always promised plenty and with his fourth in the Group 3 Grand Prix Stakes (2200m) behind Dark Dream case in point.
The Chris Waller-trained gelding should be in his element third up and out to 1800m.
A soft track is expected to prove no hindrance either with both his career wins coming on rain affected ground.
