We are back onto the Parks circuit on Saturday and another damper track likely.
Early in the day, Beerz With Clint heads to Adelaide off some very decent Melbourne form.
Something was clearly not right when he raced at Sandown. A post-race endoscopy detected a problem so that is easily forgiven – especially given he was hard in the betting.
Before that he'd been rattling home from the back in tougher races.
He handles all types of tracks, draws well and only needs an out at the right time to be hard to beat.
Another interesting runner also comes up with barrier one in Race 5.
Need The Yen has only had one outing and ran third at Strathalbyn. Now that isn't the sort of form you'd go gaga over.
Well in that race, on a soft track, he ran into a horse called Terbium. Since that effort, Terbium graduated into being a Group 3 winner at Caulfield making it four straight wins.
He has this inside draw and can use it. Given he was odds on in that debut run, he has to be one to watch.
