Cyber Intervention has finished second in each of his two runs this campaign, the latest when a closing second to Curragh at Rosehill last start over 1500m.
The son of So You Think was winding up well out wide on that occasion before losing momentum as the winner Curragh shifted abruptly.
He picked up again well in the last 100m over a distance considered short of his best.
Third up, the gelding could take beating.

He will settle back from a wide draw for Tim Clark however the race looks set to have some early speed and the track by race eight should be playing into the hands of the swoopers.
In the race prior, Firsthand has good each way appeal in the Jockeys Reunion Open Handicap (1300m).

From a wide gate, the son of Star Witness had to be used up early to land outside a solid tempo set by Cradle Mountain.
The early speed took its toll on those who were prominent early with the finish fought out by the swoopers.
Back noticeably in grade and in a field of just eight, Firsthand appears much better suited.
His narrow second the run prior to Gaulois in the Civic Stakes was excellent and with that effort in mind, has genuine each way appeal in Race 7 at Randwick tomorrow.
