3 minute read

The summer carnival is in full swing with some good prizemoney attracting the best of the locals and some strong interstate rivals.

Competitive fields give us the chance to look for some value with a number of each way propositions on the card.
The best of those could be Silvera in the Listed Bernborough Handicap over 1600m.
The Tony Gollan trained gelding was a real eye-catcher in the Recognition Stakes (1350m) first up where he was held up badly before weaving through runners and hitting the line hard.
He will relish getting up in trip having won the Listed Tattersalls Mile at this course and distance last campaign.
Silvera has yet to miss a place second up so will strip fitter and with better fortune can be right in the finish.

A return to the Eagle Farm 1400m can see Tyzone produce his best in the Magic Millions The Buffering.

The last time the Team Edmonds gelding attempted this course and distance he was a terrific second in the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap.
Since then he has competed in Melbourne but was good when returning to Queensland for a closing fourth in the Lough Neagh Stakes (1400m).
That run will have topped him off nicely and with some luck from the wide gate he is a player.
