Lim’s Dream To Atone For Narrow Resuming Defeat

3 minute read

Talented sprinter Lim’s Dream looks well placed to score a second-up win at Kranji on Friday.

The Dan Meagher-trained gelding heads what looks a competitive field in the class 2 over 1100m.

Lim's Dream was having his first run for over two months when he showed speed and fought strongly for a close second over 1000m.

He returned a high rating in that race, one which should see him stack up well in this field.

Lim's Dream is proven both at 1100m and when second up and is drawn to get the favours from the inside stall.

The four-year-old does his best work on the all weather with three wins and three placings from seven attempts so ticks a few boxes for this assignment.

River Radiance has the form on the board and looks one of the hardest to beat.

He was brave last start when boxing on for fourth in the Group 3 New Year Cup and should find this assignment more to his liking.

He was powering through his grades before that winning four in a row by handy margins, all of them on this surface.

No surprise to see him bounce back to winning form.

There was plenty to like about the resuming effort of Excelling when he led and kicked away to score by 2.5L at this track and trip.

He takes a step up in grade but is a gelding on the rise and should only be better second up.

He has shown a liking for the synthetic winning two of three attempts and is drawn to get plenty of favours.

Nowyousee had been threatening to break back into the winners' stall and did it in good style when leading throughout for an easy 3L success last time.

The drop back to 1100m suits as he has four wins and four placings from eight attempts.

He looks capable of going on with the job.

Sacred Rebel has yet to fire this time in but his two starts since a spell will have improved him and he has won third up before so may be ready to show more.

Good luck and good punting.
