Brisbane Best: Eagle Farm – 7th March 2020

3 minute read

An eye-catching return will have talented three-year-old Start Of Michelin ready to deliver at Eagle Farm on Saturday.

The progressive gelding looks well-placed in the day's closer, the Moet & Chandon Chairmans Club over 1400m.

Star Of Michelin was having his first start for close to six months when he settled near the tail at this course before running on strongly to miss by just a head.

He has had a month off so expect he will have come on since then and he won his only previous second up attempt.

Both of Star Of Michelin's wins have come at this track with Matthew McGillivray in the saddle and he has a win and a second from his two tries at 1400m.

He should be able to settle closer from a good draw and looks hard to hold out.

Galtero could be worth an each way ticket earlier in the afternoon.

The form of the Tony Gollan-trained gelding may not leap off the page but he showed good improvement last start when beaten just 2.5L at this course.

He has won third up before so should be nearing his peak now and he is a two-time winner at the mile so the longer distance is also in his favour.

Jockey Baylee Nothdurft has won on him before and with aid of a good draw he could give a big sight.
