It is WATC Derby day and there is a shortie in the race with the filly Tuscan Queen for the pink and white army.
Her stable mate Midnight Blue looks certain to run a race given his breeding of So You Think out of a Zabeel mare so any chinks in the fav's armour could be created by him.
While it is a tried and tested formula so we may not get the better of the prices, we'll suggest Celebrity Queen is the best bet on the day at Ascot.
William Pike has the country riding on him in the last in Perth most weekends and so it could be again as the filly chases a third win this prep.
She does get back in the field which has its inherent issues but has a strong finish.
Pike is responsible for her three wins and it is not the strongest of Ratings 72+ events.
In the race prior, looking for an improving stayer in the form of Volkswagon Frank to continue his winning ways.
Since his win at Bunbury, he placed twice at Pinjarra and then came to town over the 2400m.
He sat forward in that race and boxed on well to score by a head. That would be a good idea here, especially coming back 300m in trip. He should handle that being hard fit.
Given his genuine nature, he appears a good each way play.
