Third-up and distance specialist Reckless Choice ticks a few boxes when he lines up at Doomben on Saturday.
The Steven O'Dea trained gelding gets conditions to suit after two solid runs this time in.
Reckless Choice flies third up with two wins and a placing from three attempts and will relish stepping up to 1600m, a distance where he boasts a 50 per cent strike rate.
He has also performed well in his previous two visits to Doomben so looks a good each way gamble.
Kalik is another set to improve later in the program.
He found the line well when resuming with a midfield effort in the Listed Mick Dittman Plate and should appreciate stepping up to 1200m.
Crucially Kalik is unbeaten second up and with improvement on the resuming effort likely he is another each way prospect.
