Say From SA: Morphettville Parks – 5th September 2020

Not a day of large fields on the Parks track and so value was hard to find.

There was a really impressive debutant winner two weeks back and we can see no reason why Shojiki can't back that up over the 1250m.

Trained by Phillip Stokes, this filly worked into the race after drawing wide and won with ease.

The set up of this is very similar from a wide barrier but Kayla Crowther will be happy to get some cover and wind up again as it might be hard to come from last on this circuit.

Even though giving away age to the whole field, few of these are bringing in good form anyway.

She must be so hard to beat again.

Onto the next race where Wedgetail makes his return to the track after facing much better horses last time in.

After he won the maiden back in December he ran into a nice horse at Sandown in Wilmot Pass who has since won a metro Saturday race.

He was even tried in Stakes grade in the Autumn Stakes but couldn't come into it against Microphone.

Happy for this not to be run at breakneck speed so he can be close enough to strike on the corner.

If that is the case he can unleash in a field where most are at the same stage of their preparations.
