Plenty of runners heading out in Adelaide hoping the rain doesn’t arrive.

Not often you are diving into a 5yo mare third up over 2500m but Tatalina does appear a perfectly good winner at Morphettville.

This mare has shown before that she wants this trip but now fit enough, she is ready to peak.

She runs into only a fair group of stayers and hardly an abundance of recent wins.

From this barrier she will be much closer in the run and has a huge drop in weights going into a BM76.

Think on the day we might get a little better than the current price.

Another horse with a little to overcome is Melody Man and yet he is the horse on the up in big field in Race 5.

Staying at the 1800m is not as ideal as had he gone to say 2000m but you can't be anything other than impressed by the way he roared away in the maiden.

While it was expected to do that, the breeding says he wants ground and making it a staying test would also suit.

Having shown speed last run, expect him to push forward quickly from the wide gate so he can get a decent spot.

At 2-1 in opening prices, that is very tight however from the gate, we reckon that will grow through to race time.
