The newly renamed Black Heart Bart Stakes in honour of the old boy is the main race at Belmont.

There may be a little rain around and this is a fascinating race. Giving a resume a good hope here with Stageman well placed from his low draw.

He wasn't winning at the end of last campaign but it was in much harder races than this. You can see he was not that far away in races such as the Prince Of Wales, Colonel Reeves, Scahill and the G1 Winterbottom too.

His racing style is to get back but with decent speed on and a light weight, he can rattle home here at nice odds.

A damper track is no issue if the rain stays around and he's best early in the prep.

The same colours can be winning earlier as Leading Girl gets to really what should be her sort of journey.

It took her three runs to get back to winning but now the key is out to 2000m.

Reliable Man produces some top stayers and this is hardly stronger than the last run.

She will have to go back from the draw but that is basically her pattern anyway. Parnham just has to be alert when the pressure goes on.
