Some interesting horses step out in Adelaide on the weekend including a really competitive 3MWLY 1000m sprint.
But we'll go away from that and look to a stayer getting to her right trip in the form of Tatalina.
She has had two runs back now and made a long run to just miss a month ago. She has shown in the past that she wants ground so the added 300m only helps.
There are no problems for her on a damp track as the forecast is for the rain to arrive.
Importantly she drops 5.5kg here and from the barrier won't have to go a long way back either.
She has shortened up already but can't see her being any shorter on the day.
Later in the afternoon there is another 1000m sprint which offers opportunities and a recent winner is the one to side with.
Aadelad scored on a Soft track two back with a big weight in a very similar sort of race.
He then went way up in grade and was hardly poor into fifth under 2L away. This suits better.
He can camp on the back of the speed from his barrier and when the gaps appear be hard to hold out for his apprentice.
