The filly is in good hands and the extra 200m suits. Rates to win and Egan goes on. I AM A HIT (2) is well-bred and also presents third-up. Is tracking along well and is the danger with a good ride. DOWN UNDER DANCER (9) has had a few tries but finally gets a decent gate and expect a better effort back from 58 level. BODRUM (1) gets the rail and some gear changes and is an improver who can fill in the first-four. SELECTION: #11 Santero looks well placed.

Taree: Race 3 @ 2:55pm
RIGHT BOWER (2) turned in a sound effort when resuming with a second at this track over 1312m, beaten just a head. Runs well at this journey having placed at all three tries and will be fitter second up. Top chance. FROM THE HIP (1) raced handy and held on well to finish third over 1200m at Port Macquarie last run. Improving with racing this time in and ready to peak. SO COMMANDING (4) is a son of So You Think from the mare Commanding Secret. Cost $150,000 as a yearling. Will be improved off a trial placing. Keep safe. SELECTION: #2 Right Bower just missed fresh. Can atone.
Sapphire Coast: Race 6 @ 5:05pm
BIG STEVE (2) switched from wet to dry but still performed honestly last start at Gundagai. He's placed in three of five overall. Deep into a maiden campaign is a knock but with any luck from the draw he's a leading player. GREEN LEO (3) on debut for Matthew Dale should be kept safe. Few gear changes made and there was nothing wrong with how he trialled. DUCK GOLD (8) for the exotics. SELECTION: #2 Big Steve gets the nod.
