Fancy a couple of shorter prices will salute in Adelaide on the weekend.
The first of them comes up in the opening race as Ritratto chases four on the bounce and six of his last seven.
He returned in great fashion leading all the way over the mile and this race is hardly that much different.
If he doesn't find the front, he can just as easily camp on the back of one that wants to put the foot down but suspect they'd prefer to lead as it gives him confidence.
The 4yo is just working through the grades beautifully as he matures and no surprise that that would occur being by Fiorente.
In time he might get over further but right now there is no issue at all over the mile.
We can happily have him as the first leg of a double which ends in a good mare taking on the Lord Reims Stakes in the form of Tralee Rose.
She was in grand form through the late Spring before tackling the Bagot Handicap and boy did she give the opposition a thrashing.
Sitting forward in running, she took over around the bend at Flemington and two became four became seven lengths on the post.
Craig Williams posed for the photo and it could well be the same for Jason Holder.
They have to chase the Adelaide Cup off that effort assuming she wins here.
