Capable sprinter Royal Witness is now based in Brisbane and looks well placed at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
The five-year-old has switched to Team Edmonds after two runs for Joe Pride so far this campaign.
Royal Witness gave a sight first up at Randwick when he led for a 2L fourth then headed north and missed narrowly at this course last start.
He has won at Eagle Farm before and has yet to miss a place third up so is a big chance to win in what is a competitive race.
Golly Hutt has the hoof on the till and gets his chance to strike later in the program.
He has improved his rating in each of his three runs this time and has placed at the last two at this course.
Those efforts will have brought him to peak fitness and two of his three career wins have come in the wet so any rain won't hurt his chances.
