The traditional (well sort of) Oakbank carnival has the famous Great Eastern Steeplechase on Saturday.
The grand Zed Em will be going around again to much fanfare and is odds on again.
But there is more value in other races such as the Listed Railway Stakes in what is a very good 1100m race. There will be pace aplenty around the tight track.
That means saving ground and not being in that battle will be a positive and Streetcar Stranger gets the perfect track along.
Here is a 4yo that last season ran second in the old Dermody Stakes.
He does love his runs a bit spaced and has a big drop in the weights here so should be able to camp on the back of the pace.
Sadly we missed the big early price but he's still very backable.
In the following race it is wide open around 4s the field this time over the longer middle distance.
We are again going for the inside draw to be saving ground as Dr Dee Dee looks to find that winning post again.
He's been right around the mark in many races through this long campaign and doesn't look to be tiring.
Like the fact he is back up in trip and can either lead or take the conservative sit on them.
He appears the sort of horse who will give his all and should place but could win so 1x3 is the right play.
