On Line To Break Through

3 minute read

The Michael Clements trained On Line has placed at his last six starts and looks well placed to return to the winner's stall at Kranji on Saturday.

Set to contest the fifth event, On Line was hard to miss last start when finishing second behind his stablemate Big Hearted.

Didn't have the clearest passage to the line and looks well suited stepping up to the mile.

In seven attempts he has placed in four and it's a big tick with Duric legging back aboard.

From seven rides Duric has won twice and placed on a further three occasions.

No question he is the go to man for the Clements stable and while likely to get back from the draw trust in Duric to get it right.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings he sits top and only looks to have to hold his form to be right in the finish again.

Yet to win on the polytrack but has placed in both prior attempts, he just needs clear air on straightening.

It's been 440 days since On Line has saluted the judge but with even luck he should prove very hard to beat.

Stablemate Spirit Of Big Bang won well last start and while rising at the weights he is trending the right way and has to be respected.

In seven attempts over the mile he has won four and has drawn to receive all the favours for Beuzelin.

Will need to improve again, but he still should be in this for a long way.

The Ricardo Le Grange trained Leatherhead also won well last start and while it's never easy making the jump in grade, he still has to be respected.

A noted performer on the polytrack he also has a great record over the mile and from the inside draw he should be prominent from the outset.

Has to improve, but still shapes as one of the leading chances.

Of the rest his stablemate King Louis appears the next in line back in this grade.

No question he has the talent and while giving weight away he still has to be kept safe.

Good luck and happy punting.
