The last of the G1s for the Adelaide carnival is The Goodwood and while it is small in numbers there is quality on show.

A couple of South Australia's finest are in the mix and they are well placed under the SW&P scale.

We fancy Behemoth can finally win the race after two unsuccessful but unlucky defeats in the last couple of years.

As a 3yo he was beaten a head when held up and then last year he had to come from last and closed off into fourth.

He was brilliant first up back in the Durbridge Stakes and then hardly poor in the Futurity before being very brave in the All-Star Mile.

With a trial under his belt, he's ready to go for Craig Williams and there seems ample speed for him to be testing the best of his opponents.

The current market has him at great odds.

Earlier in the SA Fillies Classic, we want to give a filly a chance to atone for recent defeats in better standard races.

Flexible was a very good third in the Adrian Knox Stakes in Sydney where the form turned out to be better than it looked on paper.

She then got way back in the field in the Australasian Oaks two weeks ago and made up substantial ground late.

The only query would be running the 2500m out on breeding however these races are often relatively slowly run as most face that question and the classy ones come to the fore.

Damien Oliver hops on now and you can see her blending into the race from the 600m after getting back and with cover in the first half.
