The ever consistent Eight Ball gets his chance to break through for his maiden win when due to contest the fifth event at Kranji on Saturday.
Trained by Shane Baertschiger, Eight Ball has finished a close second at his last two starts and is clearly knocking on the door.
Although yet to salute from eight starts he has placed on three occasions and a key switch with Matthew Kellady aboard.
A noted backmarker Eight Ball gets his chance to settle closer from the inside draw and the step up to 1200m looks another tick.
When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings he appears well placed off his last two starts and a repeat should have him right in the finish.
Interesting to note his last four starts have been off 28 day breaks whereas on Saturday he lines up off 21 days, could that be the spark to get him over the line.
The Tim Fitzsimmons trained Hero is a big watch in his Singapore debut formerly trained by Nathan Hobson in Victoria.

Suspect he will be better over further, but still should sprint well fresh.
Stablemate Illustrious only went down narrowly last start when attempting to lead throughout at this track over 1100m.
His best performance to date the son of Top Echelon has since been kept on the fresh side (28 days) with a trial in-between (finished third behind Hero).
Oscar Chavez links aboard and although drawn out he is expected to press forward and be in this for a long way.
