The weather could well have turned for the better after a long time in the wet in Perth.

On the racing front, the Listed Idyllic Prince Stakes has some well-known names entered but not much winning form amongst them.

This is at WFA level compared to the Belmont Newmarket which was a handicap so you could see some swings in form here.

But one who wasn't in that race was Too Close The Sun and he could be the big stumbling block here.

First up he ran in the Ngawyni and closed off nicely into third. He handles all going and loves this course too.

Remember it was only back in the Summer last year that he was a great second in the Railway and fourth in the Kingston Town before heading East.

He found Victoria too much but he drops 3kg and gets W Pike for good measure.

Back to the first race and while Zaratite finally got a win on the board, he took an age to win and now Montelena is finally getting to the right journey.

She finished off very well last week and like the fact she backs up and goes up in ground.

Punters will probably latch onto a recent winner ridden by Pike but this mare will be ready now.
