Sydney raider Navy Cross heads north and finds a winnable race at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
The Waterhouse-Bott five year-old led from a wide draw and boxed on well when beaten less than two lengths over 2000m at the metro meeting at Kembla Grange last time.
Navy Cross has a win and a placing from two tries at this trip so will relish the step up.
He should be able to dictate from the low draw and looks tough to get past.
Progressive three-year-old Finsceal should relish a step up in trip earlier in the program.
Tom Button's gelding was a debut winner when running on at Sunshine Coast three back and was an eye catcher again last time, hitting the line well to get within a head of the winner.
He is looking for the mile now and can finish over the top of these.
