We are getting closer to some important moments in the Perth racing season on a day of small fields at Belmont.

Firstly we are nearly back to Ascot for the summer season and also that means the carnival is nearly here.

The Listed Farnley Stakes is a bit of a teaser for what is to come with some group performers on show and one of those is Tellem We're Comin who is close to a win.

This horse has won a Hannans and Northam Cup before and has clearly come back well with two close defeats in Listed grade.

He won't run into Too Close The Sun this time and the added 100m is a better option.

Those class runners at the top usually take a run or two to find stride and the new kid on the block at the bottom of the weights has a big leap here where poorly weighted on ratings.

Think we can do even better than the odds quoted too.

In the following race, expecting a good improvement from Temptacion second up off an excellent campaign.

While this race is still at 1400m, they went back on her under the big weight resuming and the task was too much. Her last furlong was fairly good.

From a better draw, with less weight and in just a fair field, she can race closer and stay on better.

Remember back in the Autumn she had multiple wins over shorter before placing in the Oaks and the Derby at Ascot.
