Another weekend of small fields on the whole in Perth but let’s be honest they are concentrating on a bigger event the weekend after this one.
There might be a bit of weather about again which could make things tricky.
The feature race of the day is the Nicopolis Stakes and we'll take a horse in red hot form with Iseered Iseered.
This 4yo has a great overall record and returned from a four month break with a win over the 1000m here.
He then stepped up to a harder race a fortnight later and held on strongly again over the same trip.
Knowing he will need to run the 1200m out, wondering if they might take sit as they did before over 1100m and he won there as well.
He'll handle any type of surface that eventuates but we are getting a nice price about a winner in a race where others have not been doing so.
We'll take another Paul Harvey mount in the last as Sunnysilk resumes over the short course.
This mare had a top Autumn/Winter prep with multiple wins over this 1000m.
She draws very nicely again to get a sweet run and in an open race, we can suggest she is a good each way gamble.
Remember she is yet to miss a place first up, has four wins over this journey, has a good Belmont record and should have no trouble on Good/Soft going.
