Brisbane Best: Gold Coast – 18th September 2021

With a franked form line and race fitness on his side, Run For Glory looks ready to peak and win at Gold Coast on Saturday.

Tony Gollan's gelding has the hoof on the till having placed at both runs since a spell and is proven third up so should be ready to show his best.

He is suited back in grade after taking on open company last start where he was grabbed by Ballistic Boy in the final strides, that horse having franked the form by winning the Doomben Mile since.

Run For Glory has won four from six attempts at this distance and has a win and a placing from two visits to this track so ticks plenty of boxes.

The Pines is another working up to a win so may be worth an each way bet earlier in the program.

She has been good in two starts since a spell, running on to place behind race rival Miami Fleiss last time and the extra 100m may work in her favour.

That rival will be hard to beat again but starts odds-on so there looks to be better value about The Pines on each way basis having yet to miss a place in three third-up attempts.
