The Executioner Poised To Strike

3 minute read

Although possessing just the two wins to his name the Jason Lim trained The Executioner appears well placed to make a winning return at Kranji on Saturday.

Set to contest the tenth event The Executioner gets the blinkers back on and horses don't trial any better leading into a first up run.

Last seen finishing fourth behind Mr Malek in the Group 2 Stewards' Cup [1600m] he appears very well placed back to Class 4 company.

Only a recent addition to Lim's team, The Executioner started his career in Australia under the care of Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young.

He displayed good ability in his 20 starts and has since placed in three of his six starts since arriving in Singapore.

The decision to kick him off over 1400m looks a smart one and the booking of Beasley is also key.

From the inside draw just hoping he can settle a touch closer, though still feel he has the talent to round them up from the back.

When assessing Timeform weight adjusted ratings he rates top on best form and with even luck he should prove very hard to beat.

The Mark Walker trained Sacred Judgement chases his fourth straight win and shapes as the main danger.

Already a multiple winner in Class 4 company he does creep up in the weights, however after Seow's claim he only goes up half a kilo.

A noted front-runner he looks to get all the favours and if able to hold his form he should be hard to get past.

The Young trained Happy Friday continues to race well and while drawn a touch awkwardly he still shapes as one of the main hopes.

A narrow third behind Wealth Elite last start he does rise 3kg however he still rates well and has to be included in the main chances.

Of the rest the Leslie Khoo trained Born To Win appears the next in line.

Good luck and happy punting.
