Adelaide hasn’t attracted much of a meeting size wise but hopefully there are a couple of winners.
Thinking the best of them comes up in Race 6 with Perfect Route ready to win.
The 5yo has been running very well in some Listed races through the Spring and now finds himself in a race not of that standard.
He ran on from well back to just miss the placings in the Murray Bridge Cup and then sat further forward to place in the John Letts Cup behind the same winner.
They were over slightly shorter but this seems perfect now and from the soft gate, he can perch himself right behind the speed and show enough turn of foot to beat these. Wild Imagination is the danger.
In the race prior, there seems a good price to be had about Montepulciano.
That is a BM64 and this 4yo will be better for the closing first up effort over lesser ground.
Remember this horse ran well in the 3yo carnival features until he got to the South Australian Derby where class told and he faded out.
At the mile, in this company and from this draw he can find a lovely trail and should be strong late.
There was money for him even resuming so that suggests he's been doing well and expect more improvement here.
