We get to the group racing now for the Adelaide carnival and a quirky feature highlights this week’s tips.
We've managed to find two horses who contested the same race and made them our bets for the weekend as they have taken divergent paths.
The first of them has taken the more natural route by running against the fillies in the Auraria Stakes as Bon's A Pearla chases her first win this campaign.
But that is not to say she has been disappointing. After effectively two fitness runs, she so good in the Australian Guineas, hitting the front at the furlong only to be outstayed by Hitotsu – that form is OK!!
She then made up good ground in that Alexandra Stakes at Moonee Valley but will be better on this track and probably with the added ground.
Every chance he has track position on the other main hopes and be the one they have to get by late. There is no Hitotsu chasing here.
Over the same 1800m, the second tip takes on the boys in the Port Adelaide Guineas.
Daisies was the winner of that G3 at the Valley and she put her hand up as a real Australasian Oaks contender.
Remember in the Spring she won the Ethereal, was second in the Wakeful and fifth in the Oaks but maybe the 2000m could be her pet trip.
Good first up, she loved that added fitness but she is also versatile having led all the way before so adaptability is important.
The barrier could be tricky but banking on Patrick Moloney to roll forward now third up to show she is the best horse here.
