The new metro season has a massive 12 race card given the abandonment from midweek.

It will be on another damp surface without much drying likely over the week.

The Jockey Celebration Day Stakes has a decent field in it with the best performed not going so well and the recent winners finding the line.

We'll take one on a quick back up in that race with Ginger Flyer coming off a mile victory on the heavy here.

The mare sat midfield and just ran on by them carrying 59kg. Now this week she gets to 4kg less.

She has never missed a placing on the affected ground and must have done well to run again coming back a furlong.

Earlier in the day, Phanta has gone up in the weights for his win over this course and distance where he led and scrambled home so there could be more value in the form of I'm Pretty.

The 7yo gets back a long way and has done that three times in a row but fitness began to kick in last time.

She wound over the top of them despite a big betting drift and those races have been larger fields.

This time around she won't have to give up a big start, has a lovely claim and Phanta will probably try to establish a break again before the turn.

Hoping Taj Dyson is right on his game to be ready as the draw means she should be closer in running.
