The sprinters run in the Beaufine Stakes with plenty of interesting resumers. There is even the horse who amazingly almost started fav in the Winterbottom Stakes.
We'll go elsewhere though starting with Race 3 where Reliable Star goes for back to back wins.
The mare was at the right distance and fitness two weeks ago and while things didn't go to plan, it didn't matter.
She was 10 lengths back at the 1000m mark but once easing wide, she roared away.
The grey runs in a similar race with a similar weight for the same rider and if anything like the pace that happened then occurs here, she has to be hardest to hold out.
So with more rain forecast, she loves that and we'll be backing her to win again.
The same stable has been having a good trot of late and we'll take another of the Durrant runners in the last.
Secret Plan won on the same Belmont card a fortnight back on soft going in a Ratings 78+ race.
This is back in grade but of course he goes up in weight. However the 3kg claim doesn't make that too big of an impact.
The son of I Am Invincible ran into some very nice horses in the Summer carnival and he's now fit and raring to go.
Another 100m can only help the cause but we just don't want him having to give away a massive start.
